William M. Patterson, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist, is the president and founder of Birmingham Research Group. His experience in pharmaceutical research began in 1981 during his tenure at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a nationally known researcher, having served as principal investigator in over 250 clinical trials to develop new antidepressants, antipsychotics, anxiolytics, mood stabilizers and analgesics.
